Rock and metal scales
When you try to solo in rock
or any metal there are many fingerings.
These are Major, Melodic,
Harmonic and equal interval scales. Each of the major, melodic and harmonic has
seven modes to them.
The equal intervals are known
as non- diatonic. These are rather harsh to the ear as a stand-alone sound but
played in the right place with melodic intervention they will rip your ears
off!
