What I do at lessons.
At the first lesson I will look at the guitar for any problems. I carry tools and strings. I can do a restring intonation and truss rod adjustment on-site!
If there are real problems I will suggest a repair shop for you I know really great people for this
I will introduce the "Interlock" method to you and do a walk through of it and show you the videos.
Beginners it is always the same. How to number the strings, how to number you fingers and how to read the Diagram, Staff and Tablature. An overview of the CAGED system and a little talk on being patience while practicing. Go to the page 3 on this for you will get more info.
Intermediate. This is a loose term for most they are past the basics but not quite ready for the heavy stuff. I need to sit with you to figure out what you do. I am confident you will see the pathway to the next level.
Advanced. This is another loose term. I find though most people in this category generally able to play chords, single notes and have some reading skill. This is a challenge for me as to how we define a course of activity for you.
